Is there a product made for fogging a diesel engine prior to winter storage? None of the usual fogging oils specifically mention diesels. This is the end of my first season with my Universal diesel, and I want to put it to bed properly. Any thoughts are appreciated... Randy

Fogging Diesel - No need...

Once your high and dry, run the engine a bit (using a fresh water hose and bucket to feed your water intake hose), change the oil and filter, run again for a few minutes. Finally, put that intake hose in a gallon or so of RV antifreeze (the pink stuff) until you see it come out your exhaust. Then shut the engine down, a light spray of WD-40 over the engine and a kiss for the winter should hold her over fine. I have a Universal 25xp the has been truly faithful for the last 7 years.

Diesel fogging oil

The best way to fog the cylinders of a diesel is with diesel fuel sprayed through the injectors. You may generate other problems if you try to introduce anything through the manifold. Just shut it down when you have it winterized and you are all set.
