I'm buying a new boat, but it's been on the lot for almost a year. Went out to see it last weekend before new bottom paint added, and noticed the instruments were totally fogged up, some with pretty heavy water beads from changes in temperature. It wasn't that way at the boat show a couple of weeks ago. Does this mean any significant problem with the instruments? I didn't know if they were supposed to be vacuum sealed or not? It would be aggravating if we'd been trying to sail right then, because you couldn't even read some of them. Is this something that should be fixed by the dealer or is it inevitable that all instruments do this, new or not?
