My battery charger causes interfence with FM radio reception. The strongest local channel will come in OK, but somewhat weaker channels won't. Any suggestions?

just for starters..

The first thing I would do is try a battery operated inside your boat. If you get the same noise the on the portable radio than filters on the wires won't work. If you don't get the noise on the portable radio than a better ground or filters may help. good luck, Jack

What type of battery charger

is on your boat? Is it an electronic three stage? Is it a ferroresonate type. The kind with a transformer. Fair Winds Cap'n Dave

Bad FM radio

My radio would not play clear when chargeing four 6 years. I found that my ALT ground was not hooked to anty thing and when chargeing the Fm was not clear both alt ang heart charger where hooked to a battery pin out of site. The moter and inverter /charger was grounded thru the starter ground, thru the motor plug with origanal wireing .one day my plug just melted off and that sent me looking for a problem.
