Does anyone know what the original alcohol stove was for a 1980 Hunter 27? I thought it was an Origo 4000 but the cut-out in the countertop will not accommodate a 6" depth flush mount Origo. Currently in place is an Origo 3000 but it sticks up high from the counter and I was hoping to find a replacement that would be flush with the countertop. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks, pam

Keyon?

Pam: I believe that they were Keyon pressurized stoves. If you want one, I think that someone has one or two for sale on the Gear Here site. If you want to replace it with an Origo, you are going to need some work on the counter to make the hole smaller.

Not Sure But...

I have a 78 27. The original was non-pressurized but not sure the brand. Mine was missing so instead I use a Coleman propane. Works great but you can not use while underway and it costs a considerable amount less.

Origo 3000...

...that is the one that come with my boat, which is a Hun27/83. Like yours, stick up too much for me. I did remove it, hoping to find a better solution...No yet...

Kenyon 2 burner

My 1981 H-27 had what I believe was the original Kenyon 2-burner pressurized stove. I replaced it last spring with a Origo 4000 flush mount which necessitated enlarging the opening in the countertop John S/V Dulcinea

Origo OK

We added the Origo flush-mount non-pressurized alcohol stove just fine on our 1980 H27, and have been very pleased with it. You have to enlarge the opening, but you can do that with a jig saw (on the hard) or a fret saw (with a couple of blades--we did it on the mooring can). Also, plenty of room under the stove still for storage, etc.
