I am currently researching sailing from the Florida West Coast to the Panhandle (between Fall 2002/Spring 2003). I'm ok from Port Richey to the Suwannee, but from the Suwannee River to the west side of Apalachee Bay is a bit of a stretch. Single handing I average 30 to 40 nm a day and would prefer to make that leg a two day passage. I have a 2.5' draft. Currently I'm working from cheap U.S. Chart Series charts, and before getting serious about this and investing more I'd be interested in hearing from those with experience in these waters. Thanks.
