What the heck is going on here with the Florida weather it's very cool and very windy, you noticed I did not say cold which it is really cold for going out sailing on the water.
I am sorry I guess I should not be complaining compared to how cold it is up north and all those boats sitting up on the hard covered with maybe snow and ice.
But hey what about all those northers that came down here for some warm beach weather and a break from winter, they and most of Floridian's are fr eaking
out when they see me walking around in my shorts and driving around with the top down in my convertible, boy the looks I get when stopped at a light.
Any way it has been way too windy for sailing the last few days,I did get some sailing time recently, are you feeling bad for us yet.
Hey Long Island,NY how much snow did you get,did they close some schools so I can call the Grand Kids.

I thought Saturday was one of the best sailing days all winter. High low 80's wind steady at 10 - 15, slight chop. Sailed from PGI to the bridge and back. We had guest aboard that had never sailed on anything bigger than a sunfish and they kept asking, "Is it alway like this?" I could have sold them my boat. Now Sunday - sucky

Friends were coming down today from NY but snow canceled their flight, this week is going to be very cool until weekend,OK I guess it's really good in Florida after all and glad we now live here, see you out on Charlotte Harbor.

Be careful what you ask for. After a cold winter brace yourself for a scorching summer.

Seadaddler: You can help

When I was visiting down there this past January, I saw a very interesting rig going into Burnte Store. It had two mast and one was angles forward. On deck they were spaced similar to a schooner, but at the masthead they came pretty close together. Do you know the boat I am talking about?

What

You mean I can't have it just the way I like it in the middle just right for sailing every day perfect day in Paradise not too hot not too cold and when my wife is on the boat not too much heeling.
I keep telling every one it's not so easy to be retired.
I will keep plenty of cold beverages and extra bathing suites on the boat on those
really hot unbearable days or just fire up the Gen and turn on the AC.

Cold Brrrrr

Hey Nick if you think it is cold there, try Northern Florida (Amelia Island)where it is reaching freezing several nights a week

I have been here 5 years and this is as cold as I have ever seen it

So much for Global Warming. I think they should withdraw Al Gore's Nobel Peace Prize. He didn't know what he was talking about when he was V.P.

I'm sorry, I shouldn't say that, I forgot he invented the internet either

By the way, not only is it cold, but I am sitting here with a broken engine

Re: Higgs

In Quantico, VA the other week we had a quick warm spell where it got into the upper 50's and a few guys went sailing. I had to work that day :-(. Today it is back into the 20's. Just where is that global warming that will extend the boating season? Please don't tell me it is all a fraud - I am counting on int!
