florida rentals?

Hi Folks,

Here's a question for you (y'all?) familiar with boating in Florida. I
sail Damsel (Vega 2178) out of Noyo Harbor in Fort Bragg California. But
I'm taking my family on vacation to Florida, where my wife was born and
raised. Does anyone know where I can find an affordable (read "cheap")
rental on a no frills, functional sailboat (from 23 to 30 feet) in
Southern Florida or the Keys? My web searches only turn up very pricey
options. I'm basically picturing my boat, but in the Florida Keys. I'm
very open to a swap/trade, arrangement.

We would want it for 4-5 days in mid- to late-August.

I think you are on to something Nathan...Perhaps someone could think of a boat exchange system for Vega Owners and or those who have sailed them and still consider themselves part of the VEGAtarian Community.
