Ok... Sooooooo I did get the 1985 Pearson 303.... NOW, what I need is a good marina(with a good mechanic) in the Fort Myers area. If you know a good mechanic in that area pls let me know. The boat will be transferred from ME to Fl in April (Hopefully) I'll need. Slip for a 30 footer(don't forget the mechanic) more details as we go... Stay safe everyone...

The 303 with its shoal draft is a good boat for your area.

Is she coming down on her own bottom or being trucked?
Hi....
She's gonna be hauled down there once I find a marina with a slip for her(and a good mechanic ) do you know of a good/reliable
Hauling service company?

I toured the west coast marinas in February looking for a slip and they all had waiting lists of two years or so. I did come across slip rentals by home owners, but I wanted the marina conveniences, so no go for now.

Where do you keep your current boat? Can you just haul that boat and use the slip for your new boat? I'd also suggest finding a couple marinas you like and putting your name on the waiting list. Except in municipal marinas, I suspect waiting are somewhat fungible. If people in the marina know you and the marina knows you have friends in the marina....

My boat is a 24 Bristol on trailer and I don't have another place. The new one is 30 feet.
It has to be on the hard or slip.... Thx anyway. If you think of some other alternative or hear of a place don't hesitate to contact me with.
and thx again amigo

For privately owned slips, check Craigslist. Hopefully, your boat has shoal draft. A lot of private slips are in skinny water. Also, check for sailboat access. Many homes in the area are on canals, but have low bridges or wires over the canals. Places like Cape Coral and St. James City (Pine Island) have a lot of small homes with good dockage, and not every one has a boat.
For a marina, check Burnt Store Marina in Punta Gorda. It is a big place just north of Ft. Myers, and might have some turnaround on slips.

Burnt Store Marina has a wait list - even for residents who have houses or condos in the marina complex.

We contemplated moving our boat overland and were impressed with Brownell, in Mattapoisett MA. They responded quickly to our inquiry and were patient with our questions. We ended up sailing the boat down instead, but they seem to know what they're doing and to do it well. FWIW, they also supply marinas up and down the East Coast with Brownell Jackstands. Our boat and a hundred others hauled for the winter at our marina are using them now. Dolphin Marina in Harpswell ME also transports boats and might be worth contacting for a quote. Trust us to handle your Boat Haul, Launch, and Transport.

Hello again...
Any suggestions were to post ads for private docks owners to see and respond?
