This is what I did on my 85 -285. My floor got soft and weak. The original was 1/2 thick. I took 1/4 plexiglass, cut to fit, and gluded 1/4" flooring to the plexiglass. The floor looks good and the plexiglass keeps moisture away from the bottom of the flooring.

Need clarification....

So you sandwiched 1/4" plex between a new 1/4" plywood and the old 1/2" plywood....Right?

Gary, I took 1/4" plexiglass, and used the old flooring as a pattern to cut out the 1/4"thick new flooring and plexiglass. Then glued the new flooring to the plexiglass. Plexiglass on bottom. Toss the old flooring. You end up with a 1/2" thick piece of flooring that is very solid. If I can help, let me know
