Floor delaminating

My floor is delaminating. It has buckled also. Where can I get new flooring. I thought that Formica would be a good substitute and stand up well but could not find a manufacture that made anything similar to the current flooring. I have been told it was teak and apple.

Dave,I had a similar problem on our 1977 H-33. I considered getting replacement matching teak and holly plywood ($100 for a 4X8 sheet steve..at least here on the East Coast). I decided if I didn't do the entire floor, it would probably look funney as a new sheet will not look anything like my old 23 year old floor. I decided to try a different approach and not try to match the existing floor. I tore up the bad section of flooring and replaced it with a new piece of plywood which I then covered with a piece of linolium. Take a look in the photo forum. Relaminate

I had the same problem, but it was a small area about 1sq.ft. or less.What I did was peel the plywood layer by layer until I got to the top teak

Relaminate sole: how?

I don't quite understand the repair Bob Rutland described. Bob, what did you mean by "peel the plywood layer by layer until I got to the top teak"? Isn't the teak the top layer? Or did you remove the entire sole (or cut out the bad piece) and turn it upside down?

Similar to Don's solution.

We had damage to the floor in front of the sink area. We purchased some material from (belive it or not) Catalina. This material is what they use at the bottom of the companionway. I just used some spray contact cement and glued the piece down to the existing teak/holly plywood.IF your plywood is delaminating then you really should replace the plywood with either teak
