Hello Everyone, I just got my "new" 1983 Catalina 30 back from the boat yard, I had them do the bottom paint, change all the fluids, cutlass bearing, and new engine mounts( the engine mounts were replaced strictly because one of them had a stripped thread in the bolt that attaches it to the hull. Now I have more problems then I did. Some how the "radiator" hose that attaches to the muffler box is leaking very badly(needs a new piece of hose), the tachometer is going nuts and the transmission is barely able to be shifted by a 190 lb. grown man. Does anyone know what the fluid level should be in a Hurth transmission, how to check it and what fluid to use. I wonder if the mechanic drained the transmission and forgot to refill it. I know where the plug is but I don't know if it has a built in dip stick, if not what should I use? Also does anyone have any idea on the Tachometer?? Where the tach connects to the engine?? The Engine is a Universal M25, 21 HP. Thanks in advance for any possible help, and yes I will be calling the boat yard bright and early Monday morning for a discussion. Jack
