So I have this question. I changed my 76' o'day 25 from a sliding T track Gooseneck to a fixed Gooseneck. All the boats I race on are fixed with a Cunningham, so I said why not?(and I dropped my other Gooseneck over the side on accident when I removed the mast) Well in my effort to add some headroom in the cockpit (I'm 6'2") I decided to mount the Gooseneck a little higher that the black line. With that being said, I did raise the main to see if it would fit. And I thought it did, till I finished everything and raised the main again, and I realized I screwed up. I figured I could tighten the halyard for luff tension as well the Cunningham, but it appears I mounted the boom a tad higher than I should. So the question is: do I remove the 6 rivets I installed into the mast, Re drill 6 new holes and reinstall the Gooseneck, or leave it the way it is, I'm only cruising her and not to worried about the little bit of slack in the luff, wich may or may not come out with the Cunningham (haven't installed it yet).
