We have a 95 Mac 26S . On the pipe that come up in the cabinet , and provided a passage for the line to the swing keel. I found out ours was split down the sides, and was letting in some water , even with the plastic tubing.
I cut it off flush where it fairs out, the took a piece of 3/4 inch THICK wall PVC ,cut to the same length as the old one. Using material from a fiberglass repair kit , I wrapped three layers of the impregnated cloth around it and the base .
After it cured the next day , I hit with 80 grit paper to knock off the rough edges. Problem solved. Cost of fix maybe $2.00. Time maybe 1 hr.
