I am fitting a Raymarine SPX-5 Autopilot in my 306 but cannot find the (Red) power cable that is allegedly installed in the wiring loom (this is a GB model). Anyone know where this cable is located? I am fitting the course computer onto a bulkhead panel at the rear of the boat.

Any other advice on fitting this to a 306, gratefully received.....

Go to the Raymarine web page as they have technical assitance and they are pretty good about answering promptly and following up. We installed one on the h320 and had difficulty figuring out how to detach the cockpit sole to install the rudder position sensor. There are screws in the back and it just lifts up. These boats have rack and pinion steering and the quadrant arm is aft. I do not remember if the power cable came with the unit but I do remember installing a fuse on it so there is a possibility I used regular 18 gauge wire. Check the installation manual for details.

Prewire

Are you looking for a prewire power wire that is suppose to be already in the cockpit for the Auto.
What type of helm do you have on your 306,I think Hunter put in a newer type helm on newer 306, maybe there is no prewired power wire.
