Where's a good place to get fitted sheets for a Catalina 36 v-berth? Probably will need to go to custom sheet maker.

They make and sell new fitted sheets that are available as an option with new boats. I don't know if they'll make them after the fact but they do for a new one. If that doesn't work we have a woman here in Maine who does exceptional work! Her company is called Fleet Sheets. won't be custom fitted. The fitted sheets that Catalina supplies are a perfect fit but nothing that you would want to actually sleep on. We buy good fitted sheets in king size and just tuck the excess around the edges. Plan A was to put the sheets and the matress upside down on the floor in our house and just pull out the excess and pin it where it needs to be taken in, then sew "darts" where required for a custom fit. That would have been an easy task for anyone that knows how to sew (don't all sailors?) but we never got around to it because the little bit of excess fabric is easy to just tuck under the matress.

When we had our Catalina 30 and now on our Allied 39, we had our sheets made up locally. The admiral bought the sheets and the locals sewed them. I think we paid $25 per sheet for the labor but cant swear to it. I have no idea if it was a good price or not. The main thing was that we were happy with it. Tony B
