For those of you interested, I have posted some photos of my Fish Easy 2 fish finder and power panel installation. Everything works great, and safe.

How well does the Fish finder work?

I'm curious about how well it can read through the hull. I've been thinking of a similar project since it would be nice to actually see the bottom but I've always been hesitant to make yet another hole below the waterline. Does the transducer read well even in deep water? Nice looking job!

Deep Water ?

It works great for me. I am on the Tennessee river in about 15 to 40 feet of water. I can't say about deep water. I'm sute that there is some degredation of resolution at deeper water, but for me, it works very well.

Fish Finder and power panel

I too want to install a Hummingbird 3D Paramount fish locator on my 260 but don't want to drill any more holes thru hull. The 3D has a six beam transducer with a 53 degree beam, shows bottom in 3D! I have tried to find a location forward but with water ballast and evidently a cored hull, the transducer would not work. It works great in my 20' motor boat mounted in the ski well mounted forward. No answer from Hunter yet. Thanks
