Hello, I bought a Hummingbird fishfinder last year. I am planning to install the sending unit in the bow under the V-berth. Has anyone done this? Any Advice? Tim Pinkham Dover, NH ~JUNE E. II~
Tim.................. Installing the transducer for the Humminbird is pretty easy and straightforward. I did mine a couple of seasons ago and works great. First rule : no drilling thru the hull! I cut a 5X5" section of the deck out in the portipotti area ..... and used 2 part epoxy to glue the transducer to the hull............. been there for 2 years...... I found the Humminbird (mine is model 100) to be very accurate. I only use it as a depth finder..... don't care about the fish aspect.
