Fish finder on 310?

I'm thinking of getting a fish finder, but have two questions: Is the 310 hull too thick for hull mounting (ie epoxy)? What frequency is the Raytheon ST depth tranducer working on (I don't want to interfere)?

Chewing gum

The factory installed depth gauge on my 1983 H34 registers flaky depth readings sometimes. While investigating the problem, I bought the cheapest fish finder at Boatersworld. Figured it'd be good to have a backup unit anyway. To experiment where to put it, I used chewing gum to stick the transponder to the inside of the hull aft of the engine. It has worked without interruption almost a year now. Haven't yet got around to replacing the gum with more permanent material, may never do.

So, no problem with the hull width?

That's all that worrys me - that the hull will be too thick for the signal. You say you have it aft of the engine, no interference from the prop? Also, does anyone know if the fish finder would interfere with the Raytheon ST depth signal?
