Just purchased a fish finder. looking for suggestions on where to mount display. I have wheel steering but no pedelstal guard. All suggestions welcome.

I put my Garmin temporarily to the right of the sliding companion way hatch - that was over a year ago...
It was at the time the easiest place to mount it because of the wiring harness which runs along the interior under the teak trim. I disconnect the unit and stow it and the harness in the cabin when not in use.

You probably can't see it in the picture but the fishfinder is reading the water temp at a balmy 32 degrees f. !!!

On my first boat, I built a wooden mount that was hinged with springs on it so that the fish finder would flip flat against the bulkhead on the inside of the cabin. pretty simple, and folds out of the way wen not in use. I'll post pics as soon as I figure out how to.
