My God what a great feeling after spending the summer below decks refitting the engine etc.
The sails came up, were trimmed properly and we were off! Took a sailing lesson from a great licensed Captain down in Deltaville, this guy was hired to move the Kennedy yacht a few years back. Very good job, I was able to sail the boat with little instruction once he gave me the initial rundown. Had her up to 8kts. That was AMAZING!!! Boat heeled over on the starboard tack, sea spray coming up, the pod of dolphins that swam with us for about 30 minutes, one of them actually leaping out of the water entirely a few yards off the bow! 7 abreast they broached the water! Was really wonderful!
We definitely still have some slight alignment issues, but plan to have them straightened out this week for a group cruise down to Mobjack bay this coming weekend!
