Four years and ten months later Ladylove sits in her old slip. The good news is that there were no leaks(at first) and the Yanmar started and ran like a top. And that after sitting in her cradle since Nov 2010. Love that 3-blade Flex-O-Fold, for the first time I backed all the way out the fairway.

The bad news is there is a leak, either at or from behind the strut bolts. It was so hard to see back there with the fuel hose in the way. But I left it for another day. Then the fact that the mast is still on the rack with no rigging and the eyebrows are missing and the locker covers are still in the garage and the tach did not work and . . . . . .

But the oil and filter are changed and she is floating again. Shouldn't complain.

Feels good doesn't it? (I splashed CALYPSO on Monday after a mere 5 1/2 months on the hard.) There sure is a long list between "launched" and "first sail" though. I envy those guys down south...

Ed,
You'll be sailing soon. Let us know if it goes faster without the eyebrows.
My boat goes in Saturday. It's all about priorities right now.
Cheers!

congrats Ed. I know how good it feels to get the boat back in the water after being on the hard for 2 years. Whew! (I only owned her for 6 months of those 2 years, but still...).

I thought I had leaks, but it was really drainage from being on the hard at a weird angle (bow elevated). Water seemed to find all kinds of places to hide. Since sitting in the water for 2 weeks, no more drainage.
