First sail - Love our O'Day!

Had our first sail Saturday after a month of doing deferred maintenance getting our new-to-us O'Day 25, Tabi II, ready to sail. Spent the entire afternoon on the water and did not disappoint! Love the feel of the boat and overall layout. The deck and cabin spaciousness gained over our previous Catalina 22 was awesome. Love having a roller furling. Our sailing cocker spaniel decided her favorite place was atop the hatch. Was a great day and many more to come!:dance:

Thank so much everyone for the support! It is great how these boats capture our hearts.

Our reservoir is low this year due to a drought. To get our fill of sailing before we have to pull out in October we are spending every weekend this summer camping on the boat. Week day evenings are spent finishing up the deferred maintenance. Finished installing new hull liner this week and recovering the last main cabin cushion. Boat is looking sharp!

Last weekend during some good sailing winds we unexpectedly practiced a "cocker overboard" - this is why the dogs wear life jackets - LOL. I must say Joey is staying more in the cockpit and cabin since her overboard experience!

She's a stout boat too. One of the guys in my YC had one. won allot of races while nearly horizontal! LOL Best of luck with your girl!
