I need suggestions on where I can get a good first aid kit? I do most of my sailing on the Chesapeake Bay so I'm never far from help. I plan on doing some coastal cruising but not until next year. I'd like a good kit aboard in case I need some short term fixin until help could arrive. Thanks in advance.

I got two kits at West Marine for my big trip

I bought a small one and then a better one. I still use them for band aids etc. Anti-biotics would also be useful if you have a friendly MD Fish oil tablets, Ginko, aspirin , nitroglycerin tabs if you think you might get a heart attack! I found an evening cocktail great for stress releif! Thanks J W

1st aid kit

An EMT friend could help with some suggestions/training on 1st aid and supplies. My wife and I use a basic kit as a starting point, and add things like coban wraps, splints for fingers/wrist, etc. I would hate to think of a scenario where a breathing mask/bulb would be needed...

SAMS

I saw a nice first aid kit at SAMS the other day. Well stocked in a nice plastic case. Much nicer than the one I got from West & at a better price.
