Hi,

I did remove the old and stained headliner of the aft cabin and now, I'm trying to find the best way to redo it : with vinyl and foam again....or with wood/pvc lambris. Any suggestion? Any F375 owner had done that? I read the F235 article but I'm still confused!

Regards

I did the aft cabins in my First 38 had probably dealt with similar problems of complex contours and shapes.

I used Sailrite's Hullblanket, which is a heavy woven fabric. Although it has no vinyl like coating, which might make it a little more impervious to some stains, it's super easy to work with and the complex corners can be dealt with by clever trimming. I ended up hand basting a couple of outside corners that I was unsure if the adhesive would hold. It stretches a little to close seams where you miss slightly.

Spraying adhesive and setting the piece in place is a little messy, but you can just spray a centerline and stick the rough cut piece there, then spray/roll out the rest a bit at a time. You can see a few pictures of the result on Yachtworld (look for F38 in PNW region).

Ciao,
io ho usato legno compensato rivestito di schiuma neoprenica e vinilpelle, poi ho chiuso con spille. Precedentemente ho incollato dei correnti di legno allo scafo.
Puoi usare velcro o viti per fissare il tutto.

"Hello,
I used plywood covered with neoprene foam and leatherette, then I'm done with pins. Previously I glued wooden currents of the hull.
You can use Velcro or screws to fix everything."
