First 32s5 has a 'very thin' fractioned mast (arount 7/8, and not 9/10 as many recent boats) rigged with rod monofil. 'Lateral main-stays' (I don't know the english word for)are generally setup very stiff to sustain the forestay and the longitudinal pre-bending of the mast is 5-10 cm. When going against short waves the bending of the mast increase and decrease rithmically of some cm (some people tell it as 'pumping'...). This situation is worrying.. There are not small forestay or to limit those oscillations. I would like to know the experience of other owners of 32s5. How much they tension the main-stays, what extent of 'pumping' they consider safe.... Many Thanks, Antonio
