Where do I find 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch tape to finish the edge of a piece of plywood...as finished by o'day? Two summers of 109-110 degree temperatures and a locked up boat has resulted in the edge finish coming off.

A kitchen cabinet contractor will probably sell you a strip if not just give it to you. Other wise a big box store will probably make you buy the whole roll

What you're looking for is "veneer edge banding." It's often iron on, and regular home irons work. http://www.veneersupplies.com/categories/Veneer__Products/Edge__Banding/

I never knew such things existed until a general contractor friend and I made a birch plywood computer desk for me. He pulls out the birch veneer edge banding, and ironed it right on all the edges of the ply. Then, he had a special cutting tool that cut each side flush with the plywood. Cool!

Also found this how-to article for you: http://www.joewoodworker.com/veneering/edgebanding-guide.htm
