My first thought is that teak oil won't have enough protective value for a floor. The floor will easily stain and discolor.
The following is only my opinion. This is a topic much like whether chocolate or vanilla is the better ice cream.
I also don't prefer the look of thick oil based polyurethane on teak. Particularly if glossy.
On my teak & holly veneered sole (original 1980 Hunter equipment), I used a satin (low) gloss WATER based polyurethane floor varnish instead of oil based. The result is nice to my eye. The product doesn't give the teak the yellow/orange look that oil based finishes can do. Four years on, my application has resisted scuffs and damage. It is still well adhered to the floor. Water based floor finishes and varnishes are available at all major paint and hardware stores (such as HomeDepot and Lowes).
