I am trying to sort out a 1994 Hunter 19 that I picked up and apparently the spreaders need to be replaced. I called SailboatOwners.com, but haven't heard back yet. Anyone have ideas where I might find these?

I'm also missing the forestay which I plan to have replaced locally. However, the original was 1/8", the local shop will have to replace it with bigger wire -- which I don't see any down side to.

I assume that it will be cheaper to also have the running rigging replaced locally rather than order it.

The boat is also missing the mast raising bridle wires and the mast raising tube, but I'm not sure if I will bother replacing these parts or not.

Suggest that you contact Phil first to see if he can help you. They are swamped and I know they are overworked. The store goes overboard for you which many do not. Contact Phil Herring. I have heard so many good things about him.

FYI. The mast was Z spar now US spars in Gainsville, Fl and I believe the rigging was produced by Seco South in the Tampa area. As for the mast raise pole, Hunter built that but can be made out of 1 inch ss tubing. You will need to check the diameter of the hole in the mast to make sure about the tubing diameter.

If ordering masts to replace the Z Spar folks, make sure that you ask them to drill the mast raising pole in the mast as the originals and make sure the area is strengthened with another piece of mast for strutural strength.
