Finally splashed, lots of fixes

As many oft you know, I ran into a number of issues during the spring commissioning checkout. Sparing you the details, here is a list of the fixes/upgrades:

1. pss shaft seal
2. ss shaft, 49"
3. new strut from Sbo
4. refurbished 3 blade prop
5. new shaft log
6. new Lewmar and Vetus Portlights
7. new Lewmar self-tailing winch on cabin top
8. new reefing line
9. new 120% Genoa
10. mainsail stack pack
11. new shaft coupling
12. new life-lines

After all of this, looking forward to a great sailing season on the eastern seaboard.

The coupling was 50 plus tax and shipping. I had to replace the shaft because the old coupling was a ball of rust fused to the bronze shaft. I cut the old shaft up in pieces.
When you get a new coupling, it needs to be faced to the shaft. That machining is about another 50.

I forgot to mention, I also replace the 4 motor mounts. The old ones were completely rotten.

The shop that supplied the shaft (in DE) did the facing. My marina uses this guy in DE for all their work.

p.s. SBO also supplied the shaft log and propeller lock nuts and key set. Good prices. Excellent service and delivery.

There are a few more items to add to that list, but who's counting. Except the head sail and self tailing winch on the cabin top, most were needed and routine maintenance.
