Well my boat is in the water & I am now learning to sail. What a great experience. The wind blowing in the sail, the water lapping around the bow of the boat, Kenny Chesney playing on my cd player, warmth, sun shining. Thanks to all the Odayers on this forum who gave me a helping hand. Attached is a picture on Georgian Bay. Only mainsail up. Will raise jib as I get more experience.

Good for you! The start of what should be a lot of fun. Continue to try things out as you gain confidence and feel free to ask the gang here for advice if needed. My DS II went back in the water last Saturday, I powered home from the ramp (about 2 miles), but after I got to my mooring I couldn't resist bending on the mainsail and going out for a (reluctantly) short sail..... would have liked to stay out, but didn't want to do too much the first day of the season.
When we launch/haul my boat, I get to do the "fun" part, moving the boat, my Dad gets to drive the van and empty trailer home from the ramp in the Spring and to the ramp in the Fall. Only fair, the boat is mine and the van is his!
