WE LEFT AT THE HEAD OF THE TENNESSEE RIVER, FT LOUDON LOCK ON OCT 15 2000 GOING SOUTH GOT TO DEMOPOLIS ALA BEFORE THE WINTER HIT, YOU KNOW ICING, SNOW, COLD RAIN. THAT WAS NOVEMBER 17. WE HAVE WAITED AS LONG AS WE COULD TO HEAD ON SOUTH TO MOBILE. LEAVING FRIDAY THE 26 TO CONTINUE ON I CAN CERTIANLY RECOMMEND ANY TO JUST DO IT. THE RIVER IS SO BEAUTIFUL IN THE FALL. THE WATER WAS THIN FOR THIS TIME BUT NOT SO MUCH TRAFFIC,THE COMMERCIAL TRAFFIC WAS VERY PLEASANT AND THE LOCKMASTERS VERY HELPFUL. WE WILL BE IN MOBILE BY FEB 2 WE HOPE TO RECOMMISSION OCTOBER'S CHILD FOR HER JOURNEY ON SOUTH. JUST 2 LOCKS TO GO OUT OF 19. ANYONE THAT WOULD LIKE INFO ON GOING SOUTH FROM THE TENN TO TENN-TOM WE HAVE PLENTY. HAPPY CRUISING!

WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY but......

please turn off your cap locks (VERY LOUD and very difficult to read). How long would this trip take if you just cruised every day without layovers?

Please share your experience!

We are thinking of doing a similar trip when retirement arrives. Probably would leave from Grand Rivers on Kentucky Lake. Would really appreciate hearing about the trip. Our plan is to continue the trip to the Ft Myers area in Florida. Hope to hear from you!
