Fiberglass under tabernacle crushed problem. I am looking for a way to repair the mast step. The boat is a 1985, the value of the boat is around $4,000 to $5,000. The fiblerglass has been pushed down about 1" from the mast. The owner before me over tightened the stays. The mast step is about 6" forward from the inside cabin wall, so there is nothing directly under it for strenght. I am sure that there have been other boats with the same problem. Cost of repair is unknown, I hope its worth fixing. I am looking for advice. If it requires repair. I will need a good fiberglass repair shop that has fixed this condition before.
