Fiberglass hatch flanges are broken

1986 C22 purchased this last July and now we are working on obvious needed repairs. Our biggest concern is the fiberglass hatch flanges.

Has anyone made this repair before and could offer some advise....do it or shop it out?

I had the same problem on both sides of the sliding hatch on my '86 and I used the West System epoxy and some fiberglass cloth to repair the flanges. It didn't turn out factory pretty but each side has been sanded smooth and I believe is far stronger than original which makes me feel a lot better when I'm standing on the hatch raising/lowering the mast. Take a stab lat it! What else do you have to do this winter? If it doesn't turn out like you want, sand it off and try again, it worked for me.
