Does anyone know the source/maker of this 1.5x4-inch (about) white nylon/plastic piece with 3 holes for looping lines through. Originally purchased at either Annapolis or Chicago sailboat show 4-5 years ago. Not in any of the major catalogues or on-line resources. Can't find in a Google search. Just looking for this specific product. Thanks!

Not sure about the exact part....

Judy: I am not sure about the exact part, but Davis makes a product call Fender Tender. They are sold at West Marine and other sites.

Learn to tie a clove hitch!

It's the easiest to learn and faster to tie--and adjust--than any gadget. It also fools anyone who sees into believing that you're actually a sailor, not just another floating condo owner.

Have Several and Don't Use 'em

We've got several of those fender hangers including two that are in their original plastic bag and we don't use them. Think we got them at rendezvous or whatever. Tried them briefly but quit. For years we've just tying the fender line off, usually to the base of a lifeline stantion. This way the height of the fender can be adusted in very short order (far faster than with fender clips), it looks nautical, doesn't put any strain of the lifelines, is one less part to buy (although we still have them), and there is one less item to snag somewhere (especially if the fender is stowed in a locker). Due to lack of below-deck storage space we've gone increasingly to stowing the fenders tied off on the pushpit and for this method the fender hangers tend to be in the way. They might seem to be great but once you've started using them for us they just became a pain. However, different strokes for different folks. Anyway, that's one more thought.

fENDER HANGERS

I bought them at West Marine store in Woburn Mass. a couple years ago. They are quick and easy. The lines on my new boat bumpers are to large to fit through the holes so I'm back to clove hitches. Paul

Not it, Thanks. I can tie a knot

Thanks, these are not the one. I try to stay away from gadgets but this was pretty slick -- guess I'll stick with tying the lines. I think it must have been a one-time entrepeneur at the show. And thanks very much, but I can tie a knot, although some of my friends can't.
