Post your Catalina pics. With spring upon us there has to be a lot of cameras clicking away.

It is spring and we have two trips under our belt so far. I wanted to do a couple of trips before really going all out to start fixing up this boat. I started stripping the bottom paint today with a pressure washer. I guess I have decided to keep the boat now.

Our first trip was to Dog Island near Carrabelle Florida.

My kind of sailing...cat napping while holding the tiller.

A day sail to the Dog Island Yacht Club.

Me and my son sleeping on anchor.

Our second sailing trip, 5 days at Caladesi Island just north of Clearwater Florida.

At the dock in the Caladesi marina getting the poles rigged for a fishing trip with the salty dog.

Sailing back from Dunedin Reef. A great sail 3 miles south and then 3 miles offshore... but nothing biting.

Later that night my son and I hooked up with a really nice Black Drum... it was very tasty. That is a friends C22 next to me that made the trip.

It looks like it would be really, really fast tacks in the water available in that second pic. It was miserable here this morning. We had a cold front come through and it was way down to 56 degrees when I went out to warm up the truck before leaving for work. :p

No boat in the picture, but this was taken from April IV the December 30th, 2010, enroute to Poulsbo, WA on one cold-a** day. Olympic Mountains out and proud, no wind for sailing.

Glad we have diesel heat!

Still one of my favorites. On a reach across across SF Bay on the East side of Treasure Island with my favorite tactician calling the course.

Tim,

Not sure how cold it was that day, but it looks beautiful. When I lived in Spokane Washington they used to say there is no such thing as a cold day, just inadequate clothing. We sailed through the winter when it got down into the 30's, and then the water makes it even colder. We wore our ski bibs and fleece. I can relate to being on the water when no one else wants to be there.

Another weekend get away. This time to Lake Seminole with about 10 other boats.

The lad give his approval of the trip.

The boy and the salty dog enjoying the main lake.

Another Cat 22 sailing with us.

We have a 6 to 8 day trip in a few weeks to Cape San Blas.
