I've had a problem with my electornic wind indicator on my 29.5 Hunter for the last couple of years. Two seasons ago it stared to read the wind 180 degrees out of phase. The next season it corrected it self and worked perfectly for the whole season. This season the "180-out-of-phase"monster appeared again.

Anybody have any ideas?

I'd appreciate your input.

Do you take the mast off each season? Maybe a plug is reversed, causing a reverse polarity issue. What kind of wind instrument do you have? Is there a plug at the base of the mast?

That is normal when reconnecting the sending unit Go to the owners manual and you will find the instruction for calibrating the instrument.

No, mast stays up. Plug is at top of mast. Maybe it needs recalibration as suggested by another Poster

I haven't disconnected the unit in years. Mast stays up each year during lay up But I will check manual and see if recalibration is needed.

Thanks.
