We have an '87 H31 and most of the weight is on the starboard side (head, stove, refer, food, batteries, fuel, etc.) Check to see how your boat sits on a calm day at the dock. It might be as simple as balancing the weight out.
This is a very common complaint and has happened to me as well. One thing to check would be is the mast plumb or exactly perpendicular to the boat itself. To check it, take the main halyard and measure the distance to the chainplate on one side and then compare the distance on the other side. They should be the same. Also, your windex may not be adjusted correctly making it appear that your not doing as well on one tack compared to the other. Hope this helps. ken
