Fast boat

Hello all,I sail Hobies at the moment and I also race in a local yacht club with a friend on his mono. I'm thinking of getting a mono in the 20-30 ft range and want to race it. That being said how can I find out which boats have good ratings? PHRF or other. ThanksDan

You may wish to talk to a local sailmaker, they quite often have a good idea of what boats sail well to their rating, and also may know of boats their customers are trying to sell. One thing to remember, is your budget. A boat with a good track record may bring a better price.

How about a J24? They're fast, fun, and they are raced everywhere, plus they can be trailered.Randy

He will tell you what boats sail well to ther number

Melges

You may want to look into a Melges 24, the PERF is 90. Its a fast boat.

Colgate 26

Take a look at the Colgate 26, it's pretty fast and has a big cockpit.Regards,Chris
