I have numerous fans on my boat and they can push quite a bit of air, but the suck my batteries dry. I previously used Hella fans and they don't draw much juice, but they don't push any air and are expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations of a good fan that can push some air, but not pull too much power?

Catch 22

Unfortunatly the more air a fan moves the more work the motor does, the more work it does the more amps the motor draws, the more amps it draws, the greater the voltage drop in the batery................Fredirck Ohm.

Power is relative

The Hellas are the best on reliablity and power consumption. A friend has a Guest oscillating fan in his galley. It moves a lot more air, but pulls a lot more amperage.

add a battery

Have you considered adding a battery? I have the amp sucking oscillating fans but with a two battery bank (group 31) a house bank we keep the breeze blowing.
