Failed Water Tank

I have a four year old Beneteau 361 and just a week ago my aft water tank failed and began leaking and the leak is not on a seam. It is in a protected area where the tank hold-down goes through so the failure is perplexing. the water appears to just ooze right through the tank on what appears to be a small scratch?Has anyone else had a problem of this nature?Jim CarneyImramaImrama2001@yahoo.com

Jim, ironically after reading your message when I went to fill my water tanks in my 2000 361 the aft tank is leaking. I wonder how many more out there are having the same problemThanksCharlie GreutznerS/V Angels' Grace

Another possible cause

I had quite a scare a few weekends ago after the swimming platform shower valve was left in a partially opened position. As I was motoring home I opened the engine compartment to check it (something I don't usually do while on the way) and found quite a bit of water on the engine bilge.After I realized it was fresh water, I was able to track back the problem.
