I just installed an EZ Steer unit on my 1994 26S. Wow, what a dramatic improvement. It connects the motor to the tiller and really gives you some decent control of your boat. It even improves your reverse control. Email me at johnmelohn@msn.com and I'll send a picture.

Can you send a picture of that my way? How much did that cost you? I find that the steering control is terrible when I try to run the motor in reverse. It's not too bad when I run it forward but if there is a fix for this I am definitely interested. Where do you sail?
