Does anyone know where I can get an anchor roller that is between 32 and 36 inches long. I have tried West Marine and a few other places with no luck. I'm tired of constantly having to repair fiberglass on the bow of our 29.5 after pulling anchor in rough seas. Russ Her Diamond Ring

Windline line Bow rollers

I found this Windline site ( see link below) yesterday looking for a bow roller myself. Maybe it will help you. There is a page that has complete descriptions and drawings of the various bow rollers. Probably Windline's offerings are about what's available.

extended roller

Hello Russ, Land2c makes a roller mount that works perfectly on most hulls. Kingsprits are designed to fit where deck mounted cantilevered rollers don't. See our web site at www.land2c.org Tim King

Extending the current extension?

Russ, I assume that your 29.5 is like all of them and has a 'short stubby bow roller" in place. Are you trying to extend that further? I have thought about it, not so much for the anchor but as a bow sprit attachment (see other bowsprit artcles too) Maybe between all the 29.5 owners we can create the "class standard" combination! Let us know how the project goes and I'll do likewise.

To all who have responded

As a Port Supply affiliate Windline was the first place I looked for a replacement roller. Didn't see anything that looked promising. My next step will be getting in touch with Hunter to see if I can get a good mechanical drawing of the roller assembly. (If anyone has on that can be e-mailed my address is how@inlandscuba.com) I will see if Windline, or anyone else, has something that can be modified to work. If not, it is off to my local fab shop to see what we can build. If you want to follow this adventure, send me your e-mail address and I will let you know how it ends. Russ Her Diamond Ring

It is www.garhauermarine.com/

Good stuff here but I could not find anchor rollers. I confess I only looked at the index. If someone knows the page let me know. Russ Her Diamond Ring
