Explain how it hooks up inside. I have a 1977 oday 22. It has the bailing hole in the cockpit that empties out the back. Where is the water from the keel inspection bay water go? Water will collect in there as well as in the read where the batteries go...so I guess it is connected.

It doesn't seem to empty out the hole. Thoughts?

If by "keel inspection bay" you are refering to the hole in the cabin sole that alows you to look down into the keel sump, that isn't self-bailing but is provided to allow one to insert a manual bilge pump to pump out any water. Obviously, that area is well below the waterline...... so it won't drain unless you pump it out.
