i am recently retired corrections sgt of NY state who owns a 22 oday who would love to crew and learn with experienced sailors and i am willing to share expenses or be hired on if desired the wind can move me lol

You must have slept for a month when you retired. I sometimes watch the show on the Discovery channel named "Lockdown", or "Lockup" or something like that. Thank you for doing a difficult job and Congrads on your retirement. Your request made me think, Obviously there are alot of sailors out there that would like to meet other sailors, either looking to crew or for a crew. My question is to Phil, the admiral of this site. Have you thought about having a seperate link/site for people like the SGT {or me} that would like to meet others for sailing? I have know idea how difficult such a link would be to install but it would appear to be something people are looking for. Merry Christmas, Jack

Sarge, Where in NYS are you located? It's a big place, and it might be easier to locate willing skippers if we knew where you (and your regular cruising grounds) are located. On a (sort of) related thread, if you want to hang out with a wonderful bunch of O'day sailors, and get some crew time in as well, why not head over to Milford, CT, in July, for the 5th annual owners' rOnDAYvous? You can come either with or without your boat. Stay tuned for more information. And, lest it go unsaid, congrats on making it out alive and (presumably) unscathed.
