how difficult is it to replace the exhaust hoses on the Yanmar 2gm 31 ft Hunter? Any tips or suggestion or precautions?

Start by opening up

Check the clearance from the engine to the muffler, and then from the muffler outward. You may have to take off some interior panels. What you're looking for at the moment is the "degree of difficulty" of pushing or pulling through the new hose, especially in parts you can't see.

We did this...

Actually, I should say our mechanic did this last spring. He was able to get into what is a very tight spot without removing any bulkheads. It took about a half day. Laura Bertran 1985 H31 #514 Rising Tide Annapolis, MD
