Two questions on this one; the first is how do you get to the exchanger zinc on a westerbeke for a B331? Its so buried in cables and hoses and facing slightly aft when I get a socket wrench on it, there's no room to turn the wrench. Any suggestions?
The second is the result of the frustration with the first question, If I run a grouper zinc lead with heavy copper wire to the engine and connect that massive zinc to the brass nut of the exchanger zinc, would that protect the exchanger? It would be a lot easier to replace grouper zinc over the side of the boat than get to that buried exchanger zinc.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
