Stu, will a 'Toonie' or a 'Loonie work? Probably have to be Canadian to get that one!
I tried placing a flash light inside the fridge at night, looking for any light around the seal, didn't see the light....
I will try a $5 bill tonight, since I am Canadian....and own a yacht.

Cheers!

Good one, Dave.

I have a Loonie under my mast step, my wife and son are Canadian. :) Maybe that's why the paint is peeling at the bottom of my keel stepped mast: dissimilar metals. Or could it be the Queen???

If you can get a Loonie through your fridge seal, ya got some REAL issues!!! :)

Yes changing seals is important also. The 310 had a couple different doors, and I know the early ones (I have a 2001) the way the fiberglass flange was built out, it would sweat even when we replaced the seal. Besides the fix I noted we also wrapped WHITE tape backed foam around the frame. It's not "Pretty" but being white it's not bad. This also helped keep the moisture on the frame itself down. By design the cold transferred right out of the box to the frame.

I know it wouldn't work on a mooring with solar; but one of our most valued additions to For Pete's Sake, a 2001 with the really bad door designs is a dehumidifier. No sweating reefer door, no damp clammy sheets, no mildew... And you can hang wet crap and it's dry in no time.
It does get hot inside during the warm humid weather but then you have dry tasty-warm sheets to get into.
It's ~20 litre capacity and in humid weather I have to empty it every couple of days. I could plumb it to the bilge but I have the PSS shaft seal and run a dry bilge, except for the odd freshwater systems Catalina blessed us with and the dealer never did repair under warranty.
