EV-100 Install

Hi, fixing to install an EV-100 wheel pilot and was wondering if anyone would have any pictures or advice as to where to mount the inside components? I was thinking along the inside wall just aft of the companionway. Also, I purchased the kit and was wondering if additional wiring was needed. I will be home in a couple of weeks to install and would like to get extras ordered if necessary. Thanks.

I used extra cable and time to get the sensor way down in the galley. Probably a big waste. Others have put the sensor anywhere in engine area with no problems. Spend hours planning the cable runs. The instructions are junk but phone support is ok.
Biggest pain was getting cable to display on pedistal. ...too short and bulky connections.

That is where I put mine, I mounted it the ACU-100 just in front of the quadrant near the ceiling in the aft cabin on the lazarette wall. The EV-1 is mounted a few inches forward.

Thanks for the replies. I will tackle it when I get home from Africa next week. I think I've found a local place to get extra wiring in stock if needed.
