Escape Rumba - Mast Replacement

Hey Everyone -

I have a little Escape Rumba ( see picture - it's not my picture but it shows the boat). It was living at a camp for a long time where it wasn't really taken care of. Long story short, the mast is bent.

The mast has multiple pieces that fit together - The piece that is broken is essentially a featureless aluminum(?) tube that is ~8ft long.

Any ideas where I could find a mast replacement?

I used to have one of those … my kids loved it… go to the outdoor section at Lowes or Home Depot and look in the chain linked fence area. The top bar is exactly what you are looking for… might need a hack saw and some end caps

If they were about 50% bigger I might still have mine

Hey - Thanks for the tip!

I think the one I have is slightly larger - Its comfortable for 2, maybe 3. Whereas that one looks a little different. It also has a wooden dagger board and rutter.

But I think your suggestion is great.

I think your's is a different model. Wish they still made them. They are fun and easy.

If the size is right, try aluminum conduit as it's not subject to rust. I did this for a Force 5 but I never owned a Rumba
