HAVE TO REPLACE THE CUTLESS BEARING ON MY SAILBOAT. ANY IDEAS OUT THERE WHAT SIZE IT MIGHT BE FOR A 29' ERICSON 1972. THANKS, J :dance:

Is your boat in the water? If it is, measure the shaft diameter from the inside of the boat. It's either going to be 1" or 1.25".

On my E29, the shaft is 1 inch. The engine has been swapped out at some point in time, but I doubt VERY seriously that the shaft size has changed. It would be an astronomical feat for nothing. When I get down there tomorrow morning, I can get a length measurement if you like..

length is not gonna make a difference--is based on shaft size, which is able to be obtained by using a micrometer to measure the width of shaft prop uses.
my ericson 35mII uses a 1 inch shaft. my formosa 41 uses a 1 5/8 shaft. if you do not know your shaft size you cannot buy new parts.

O.K., my shaft size is 1 inch, (as I knew), but the O.D. of the bearing is 1-1/4". And it is 4 inches long. Exactly. By the way, it's a '73 model E29, I wouldn't think it would be much different than yours..
